Puerto Banus

Some of the most exclusive yachts in the world can be seen in the stunning marina at Puerto Banus. The one featured here is 'Shaf' which was owned by King Fahd of Saudi Arabia until his death in 2005. I should think now it has been passed down to one of his sons. This is the most impressive yacht here in the marina and is a very popular tourist attraction. Puerto Banus Shopping

All around the very exclusive marina at Puerto Banus are the equally exclusive designer shops. The most famous of the names are located on the waterfront, alongside the huge multi million pound yachts!
Just a short walk from the marina are the Spanish favorites of Mango, Zara and the popular El Corte Ingles has a large five floor department store here.

Marbella to Puerto Banus

A nice way to make the journey between Marbella and Puerto Banus is the small ferry boat. The trip is approximately 35 mins long, and on the way you see all the coast between the two resorts.
On arriving at the marina at Puerto Banus you are immediately surrounded by the rich and famous, along with a few of their possessions which you will see in the very exclusive marina!

Puerto Banus

As I said in the previous post about seeing famous faces in Puerto Banus, every - one should recognise this face on the left???
The famous face we saw was Rick Parfitt from 'Status Quo'
and the photo below he is there again in the doorwayof one of the designer shops.
We had only been in the town 5 or 10 mins after arriving on the boat from Marbella, and there he was having a drink on the water front!

Puerto Banus.

Puerto Banus just a few kms to the west of Marbella on the Costa del Sol is home to some of the most impressive yachts in the world. The marina was built in 1970 by local property developer Jose Banus, and has since become a favorite gathering place for the rich and famous from all over the world. You are sure to recognise someone as you stroll around the marina !

Some of the most expensive designer shops and restraunts are situated along the waterfront, but you wont see a price ticket on anything displayed in the windows. What does it matter about the cost when you have a massive yacht and an Astin Martin parked up here!
